Ok… here we are now TWO weeks away from Christmas. Still plenty of time to shop, but for delivery… not so much. Those deadlines are very close!
Let’s start with UPS. They got backed up and are working hard to catch up… but you do know that UPS delivers for Amazon and Walmart, right!? Yeah. And, with the sales from Cyber Monday… it was bound to happen.
Oh… Haha… AND, the busiest time has yet to come. They say the two weeks leading up to Christmas, its about 200 million packages per week.
So, if you want to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to be by Christmas, here are the Post Office’s recommended shipment days:
Here are the UPS holiday shipping deadlines for you.
Dec. 18 – three-day shipments.
Dec. 20 – two-day delivery.
Dec. 22 – Next Day
*Note that this doesn’t accommodate all zipcodes, so check first.
OK, let’s take a look at FedEx.
Dec. 15 – ground shipments
Dec. 18 – home delivery
Dec. 19 – Express Saver.
Dec. 20 – two-day shipments
Dec. 21 – Next Day
*Now some packages will be delivered on the 23rd, but there is a $16 fee per package. Check with FedEx for details.
And finally there’s the US Post Office.
Dec. 14 – retail ground.
Dec. 16 – First Class packages.
Dec. 19 – First Class mail.
Dec. 20 – Priority Mail
Dec. 22 – Priority Mail Express.
So now ya know! It stinks to order a gift and not be able to give it to them for Christmas… so hop on it if you gotta!
