Wednesday night (11/8) there were SO many emotional moments that had viewers in tears. Among many of those moments was the special tribute to the late Troy Gentry. Dierks Bentley had teamed up with Rascal Flatts to honor Troy with a performance of Montgomery Gentry’s hit “My Town,” with Eddie Montgomery actually joining the collaboration for his first public appearance since his duo partner’s death. It brought down the house and in the middle of the performance, cameras caught Troy Gentry’s wife, Angie, and 15-year-old daughter, Kaylee, who were in the crowd wiping tears away from their eyes during the performance. What made the moment even more touching was the fact that Troy had reportedly promised to take Kaylee to her first CMA Awards this year – a promise that his wife Angie made sure to keep.
